Intended for compact and safe storage of large volumes of sheet glass and glass boxes up to 3210x2250 mm in size (Maxi warehouses for glass format 6000x3210 mm are available on request). It is easy and simple to operate, controlled by one operator, manually - in a mechanical version, using a radio remote control - in a semi-automatic version.

Brief description of the warehouses of the "Strongman" series:

Sliding warehouses of the "Strong" series are guides made of a rectangular metal profile, with mobile sections located on them for storing sheet glass and boxes of a given size and load capacity.

Sections are metal frames, the dimensions of which depend on the specified parameters of the glass boxes, located at an angle of 5%. The base of each section has a chassis consisting of two “skis”, inside of which two pairs of steel wheels are located in a checkerboard pattern on each side of the section. Steel wheels with a flange, like locomotive wheels, with bearings pressed inside, are located on the shaft inside the “skis”. This combination of the location and layout of the wheels ensures 100% stability of the sections. Any attempt to turn over even a free-standing section will only lead to its forward movement along the guide, but not to overturning.

The sections are moved by the operator using radio remote control or manually, depending on the warehouse modification. The warehouse control unit is located in close proximity to the gear motor. The gear motor is connected to the “control section”. At the operator’s command, the gear motor pushes the control section in one direction or another. The number of sections that will be moved by the gear motor depends on where in the warehouse they were separated by the operator using a special pedal.

For operator convenience, the warehouse is equipped with a technical passage from 600 to 1000 mm.

Description

This system is designed for stationary, selective storage of glass in both open and closed wooden boxes. The design consists of longitudinally movable cassettes moving along two rail guides. The cassettes are inclined relative to the vertical and move on a support module with a bearing unit (6 wheels). The synchronization or skew protection system is made of two toothed racks mounted on guides and two toothed wheels (gears) connected to each other by a steel shaft. The cassettes can be easily moved by hand, including several at a time. The outer cassettes are stationary and rigidly fixed to the base. At the request of the customer, movable cassettes can be equipped with an electric drive and a control system for automatic targeted movement. The operator dials the cell number on the remote control and the system automatically moves the cassettes, opening the required cell for access. Automatic system justifies itself when installing storage systems of 15 or more cassettes. The number of cassettes in the system is not limited and can be any.

Warehouse capacity 3.5 k/m- number of cassettes per 1 meter of warehouse length. This parameter depends on the total length of the system, the width of the supporting shelf and the minimum opening distance. For example, in the photo above, with a shelf width of 190mm, opening distance 700mm, total warehouse length 12m, capacity is 42 cassettes. Repairability Maintenance and repair of the system comes down to replacing bearings when they reach the end of their service life. There are two options for manufacturing the wheel-support unit: a removable bolt-on one and a non-removable all-welded one.

What is the difference between wheel-support units: To replace a bearing in a non-removable unit, it is necessary to dismantle the nearest fixed cassette, then roll out and remove the required cassette from the rail guide, having first removed all the upcoming cassettes. The design with a removable unit allows it to be dismantled directly on site by unscrewing a few bolts, without moving or dismantling other cassettes. The advantage and ease of maintenance of a removable unit are obvious, but the service life of the bearings ranges from 5 to 8 years and depends on the intensity of use. Therefore, we leave the choice of node, which affects the cost of the system, to the buyer. By default, a non-removable node is installed.

Transportation This system is designed so that with a length of up to 13.5 m, it can be fully assembled and transported in one standard Eurotruck with a side height of 2.7 m. The weight of the system is 500 kg per meter of warehouse length.

Installation comes down to precise alignment of the rail guides, fixing them to the concrete floor with anchor bolts and installing the assembled cassettes on the guides.
