Story

In 1919, the construction of boats began in Yaroslavl on the basis of a former lamp workshop. In 1920, the motor shipyard began operating and the first boat was launched.

In the late 1950s - early 1960s, a large-scale reconstruction of the plant took place. At that time it produced about 12-14 vessels annually - from small boats to sea vessels(fishing, patrol, etc.) with a displacement of up to one and a half thousand tons.

In 1993, the company was transformed into an open joint-stock company. Vessels of unlimited navigation area with a displacement of up to 2 thousand tons are being built.

In 1997, the plant was approved as the base enterprise for the construction of ships of the Federal Border Service of Russia. Also customers were the Federal Customs Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, and foreign companies.

At the end of the 1990s, the plant built several small anti-submarine ships and missile boats (MPK project 1241PE - 5 units, BRKA project 1241RE - 2 units). Since 2001, the plant has been constructing buildings with partial saturation for foreign customers.

During the period from 1974 to 2008, JSC YaSZ built 258 vessels for various purposes and 12 hulls of boats and tugs.

Most of the plant's products were medium-sized freezer trawlers of projects 502 (from the 1960s) and (from 1971) with various fishing methods. More than 130 seiner-trawlers of these projects and freezer trawlers of project 503M were built.

History of the Yaroslavl Shipyard

In 1919, the construction of boats began on the basis of a former lamp workshop. In 1920, the motor shipyard began operating and the first boat was launched. 1920 is considered the year of foundation of the Yaroslavl Shipyard.

In the pre-war years, the plant produced river and sea diving, raid, postal, fire boats, as well as gliders.

During the Great Patriotic War The plant supplied the front with boats equipped with Katyusha rocket launchers. These boats took part in battles as part of the Dnepropetrovsk, Volga and Danube flotillas. In 1985, the plant was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, 1st degree, for its contribution to the victory.

Since the mid-50s, the plant, in addition to building ships and boats on orders from Russian shipowners, has supplied boats for export,

to Guinea, India, Somalia, Ghana, Vietnam, Algeria and Yemen.

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, a large-scale reconstruction of the plant took place. He then produced about 12 - 14 vessels annually - from sea vessels to small boats (fishing, patrol, etc.) with a displacement of up to one and a half thousand tons.

Post-war development

Technological base

Until the early 90s, YaSZ was a full-profile shipbuilding plant, that is, performing the entire range of shipbuilding work: from the preparation of sheet and profile products to the testing of finished orders. Production capacity

The Yaroslavl Shipyard is equipped with a slipway with a length of 190 m, which has two platforms for the construction of hulls up to 12 m wide. There is also an open slipway where hulls up to 16 m are assembled. With the help of a longitudinal launching device, ships reaching a length of 75 m and weighing 1050 tons.

Gas cutting machines are installed at the plant plasma machines CNC machines, capable of cutting parts of complex shapes (up to 8 m long) from high-strength steels. Capacities allow processing 4000 tons of steel and 500 tons of aluminum per year.

Guarding the Motherland

Traditionally, the main customers of the Yaroslavl Shipyard are law enforcement agencies, the Navy, naval units of the border troops, the FSB of Russia, the Federal Customs Service, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
