How to throw a party that will impress your guests and be remembered for a long time. Scenarios for theme parties. Many ideas! It's right when a restaurant turns an idea into a real profit

Another five years ago it was possible to declare a party for progressive youth and point out that for the first time in the club, the trendy DJ Vasya Pomidoroff will perform his superset on VINYL (!!!), and there will be nowhere for an apple to fall on the dancefloor. What now? Get drunk!!! Even guest DJs from London or New York do not gather enough people for themselves. Not to mention our homegrown masters of needles and slipmats. Only a few have their own group of loyal fans, and then friends do not go to all clubs to pick up their pet.

And if creativity is still rushing out of you and you are ready to take responsibility for holding the event forward!!!

First you need to come up with a name for the party.

As you call the party, so it will float. But, you should not bother too much and come up with something like: House, shmaus, Mickey Mouse and other little animals.

The name should tell people what will and should go to the party or not. For example, calling the party Labotomy or Anesthesia, expect girls to visit in fluorescent T-shirts and grinders with a ten-centimeter platform, which went out of fashion back in 97. The name Wet Fantasies will attract a crowd of young boys from themed cubes. And Whiskey. Jazzy House rhythms of lazy models and cocaine dealers.

For their practice came across and pearls. In the city of Samara, at the entrance to the club, which is a cafe Vasilek, on a shield 5x5 meters there was an inscription: DISCO. PURE JUST TO DANCE!!!

In Moscow, there was a club at the Water Stadium that offered a whole series of parties: on September 1, the opening of the hunting season and on September 8, the hunting season was opened.

And who did the organizers want to see at the party Barmalei feat Dr. Aibolit, It's not clear at all.

Having come up with a name, we move on to the next item - the program of the event.

As one of my friends said: I saw everything!!! Tarzans and Candymens hesitated!!! Everywhere is the same. Now, if a girl was fucked by a dog on stage, I would probably come. Well, no one has fallen before that, but I will tell you: there is something to surprise. For example, in the London club Minystry of Sound, the girl DJ Rebbeka (part-time fashion model) plays. At the most crucial moment of her set, she exposes her boobs, thereby making a splash on the dancefloor. Unfortunately, we have few female DJs (especially with model looks), and few of them will agree to show all the wonders of the world behind the console. But you can also go for a trick. Invite a stripper, announcing her as DJ Mari or Juanna (you can do it together), while adding that she is from Amsterdam or Berlin (where there are more DJs than ordinary people), put her on the turntables, turn on a two-hour mix (of any format) and wait for the public reaction.

DJ Boy George gathers an unmeasured amount of people for his sets, not because he is a DJ, but because he is Boy George. But why invite him again when we have enough Fights of our own? Imagine what will happen if you say that DJ Nikolai Baskov or DJ Philip Kirkorov will play at your party. (As far as DJing itself, they can be treated like a stripper). The only problem is whether you have enough money for such an action.

You can attract the public and theme parties. For example, in the Military style. Dress up everyone in military uniforms, hire models, dress them up as nurses and force them to distribute ascorbic acid, activated charcoal and condoms to the guests. And most importantly: hang a volunteer in a parachutist pilot's suit from the ceiling on ropes, give him a strobe light in his hands and swing back and forth. A similar topic is good on the eve of February 23 or May 9.

Or to interest guests with a special dress code. I still wonder why no one organized a Nudist Party. This is elementary: call the nudist society and invite them to the club in order to popularize the movement or pour alcohol for free for each guest in a negligee. (The only negative is that the DJ also has to work in Adam's costume so as not to look like a laughingstock). Success depends on your imagination. And if it is not enough, then try to find a dog (we will help you find a girl).

So, the program is thought out. It's time to make flyers, posters, invitation cards.

The main thing here is the design and the information you submit.

As for the design, everything is simple. It must look expensive. No bright colors, no stars and hearts. Just put a picture from some magazine, I advise Penthouse or Hustler (just don't download nude Britney Spears from the Internet), at least scan your photo. It's cool when the flyer has a non-standard shape, such as a round one or a folding one, like a greeting card. And if it is also in an envelope, but with a wax seal, then the number of people who came through it will be much larger.

Write the name of the party and the number in large print. In no case do not write abstract phrases like: Trendy DJs from Moscow radio stations are playing (on which radio do trendy DJs play ???) or an MTV format disco (is it like? Decl mixed with Limb Bizkit and Modjo for a snack?) Tell the truth, what kind whatever it is: if DJ Filin plays, then write DJ Filin (well, what can you do if I'm not as well-known in wide circles as Vasya Pomidoroff). Try to avoid wording: Killer contests and super prizes (don't forget that you are making a party in a club, not at a camp site or in a nursing home, and you are a DJ, not a mass entertainer) And most importantly, never write: Come Everyone, we will welcome you we are waiting for you, you will not regret it!!! Club business is not a movie for everyone. I assure you, the phrases: closed, private party, Face Control, Dress Code and After 23:00 the entrance is strictly limited will bring much more benefit.

Most importantly, do not forget to enter the venue of the party (club name, address, phone number and location map, if needed).

And when all the printing is brought to you, try to properly distribute it, and not throw it into the nearest trash bin. The most difficult phase of the party is promotion. It needs to be done in stages.

First move, long before the party, go around all your favorite places (clubs, coffee shops, etc.) and spread rumors about the upcoming action. Make a stir in the party (you can lie a little, for example, by saying that the budget of the party is $ 15,000, and that all of Moscow is talking about it, but you don’t know yet). It's great if this is not done by you alone, but by a group of promoters.

Move two, open your notebook and call all your friends and acquaintances (the faithful audience will not let you down).

Move three hand out invitations from hand to hand, with explanations: I can’t give three, only two are the last.

There is a fourth, fifth and sixth move, but they depend on your capabilities and imagination. In principle, the above actions can be limited.

Now it remains to create an atmosphere in the club and bring decor.

To do this, you can use simple means: candles, fabrics, flavors, etc. But just don’t ask the grandmothers in the church for Halloween incense (as one of my comrades did), they can be anathema.

The main thing in the club everything should be BEAUTIFUL!!! And, first of all, a lot of beautiful girls. How to drag them guess for yourself, I'm not going to help you with this (trade secret).

Finally, everything is ready. You stand at the entrance and wait for the people. And while it's gone, don't worry. Do not cry to the face controller in the vest. Or better yet, read this article. Maybe you missed something???

P.S. And in the next article we will talk about alcoholism in the workplace.

In this article we will also talk about the most in cafes, bars, restaurants.

It's hard to surprise the consumer these days, but it's even harder to attract guests to your restaurant, among all others. Modern restaurateurs and marketers are puzzling over how to come up with something new. This is a constant hunt for business ideas that determine the success of an institution or its failure.

Themed nights are a win-win option for an entertaining catering establishment. With their organization at the highest level, you will be able to attract guests, create an unforgettable atmosphere for them, easily make them eat and drink more, leave a positive review, and most importantly, recommend your establishment to your friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.

When organizing a themed evening, every detail is important. Speaking of details, they literally cover every corner of your establishment. Well-thought-out and implemented smallest details will help you create an atmosphere of celebration and comfort.

It is important to understand that everything is important for a successful themed evening: from A to Z. Do not stop only at the decor and the selection of appropriate music. Invite actors, hostesses, dressed in thematic costumes of the evening. Order a live musical accompaniment, a band, for example, if it's Elvis' evening, let a professional sane actor play it. Guests can take pictures with him, for entertainment he can sign autographs, sing and entertain people.

The mistake of almost every restaurant, bar, cafe is that the institution is only trying to organize a celebration without thinking about maximizing profits. Many administrators, maitre d's, marketers think that a successfully organized "fest" will provide them with sky-high cash. This is far from always the case. Often, due to an ill-conceived plan and script, the establishment is filled to the brim with people whose average check is so small that it will barely help the establishment cover all the costs of organizing a party, not to mention real profits, which are becoming harder to earn every day.

It is right when a restaurant turns an idea into a real profit.

Every detail is important here, you can’t miss a guest because of an ill-conceived concept of doing business. Any event should cover everything: both the kitchen and the staff and the guests themselves. For example, a salsa or Brazil evening: don't be lazy, look for a school that does similar dances, offer them your restaurant as a free venue for a competition or something like that.

Pay special attention to the restaurant staff and their functional responsibilities.

The functional responsibilities of employees in a cafe should be clearly defined and explained, including through ongoing training to improve their skills. Remember the main thing: no matter how popular and good your restaurant is, a bad waiter will always manage to make sure that the guest will not return to you again, and in addition you will lose his friends, acquaintances, and colleagues as guests.

Compliments from the institution for children in restaurants

Teach your waiters an important rule: the way to the heart of your guests is not least through their children. Let your waiters give them special attention: have special coloring menus for children, children's pencils, etc. Keep the little children of your guests busy with something and believe me, they will be incredibly grateful to you.

Sometimes the soul asks for a holiday! A party is a great way to see all your friends together in one place. But how do you organize a party? With proper planning, good food, good music, a well-thought-out guest list, and every little detail taken care of, the party is sure to be a success and perhaps even become a tradition.

Steps

How to make plans for a party

Choose a location. Where do you want to party? Will it be a big event or a private meeting? Is it possible to have a party at your house or one of your friends? Do you have a place in mind (restaurant, bowling, cinema, park)? Find a place that is suitable for what you plan to do.

    • If you want to invite a lot of people and can't have a party at home, you might want to make a reservation ahead of time to make sure everything is on time. It is best to call at least a week before the event, otherwise someone else may book a place. Let guests know by what date they need to tell you if they're coming or not, and call those who don't answer on time.
  1. Select date and time. If you're throwing a birthday party, most often the date will be the same as the date of birth, but you can also have it on a weekend so guests don't have to go to school or work in the morning. Usually parties are held in the evening, but there are also daytime events. You can even throw a sleepover party, but such an event requires more careful preparation and entertainment planning.

Choose a topic. Will the party be timed to some event? If so, think about how you will please the hero of the occasion. If not, come up with a topic that will interest or intrigue guests. Here are some ideas:

    • Choose a topic that will not be very difficult to prepare for, especially if there is not much time left before the party. Showing up in all black is easy, but a 40s style party requires more preparation.
    • Come up with something that will not be related to clothes. For example, you can invite everyone to bring different sandwiches. In addition, you can always have a classic party with different types of beer, wine or chocolate.
    • Choose a broader theme, such as "golf" or "owls." Match food and accessories to the chosen theme.
    • You can even skip the topic altogether. Very often, it’s enough just to get together and enjoy each other’s company.
  2. Make a guest list. In part, the list will be determined by the venue. How many people can the venue accommodate? Who do you want to see at the party and who will like it? Will anyone be busy at this time? Make sure the venue is spacious and can accommodate all the invitees.

    • Not all people want to dance or listen to music. Some prefer conversations and quiet rest. Consider the inclinations of the guests when choosing the direction of the party. If possible, try to provide for different recreational opportunities when planning the space and take into account different age categories, if there are several.
    • Decide if you want your friends to bring their friends. This will affect the total number of guests and the amount of food required.

"I shared my experience of organizing a night event in one of the lounge-bars in Minsk. Now I will reflect on the Belarusian club industry as a whole.

Clubs
There are not many good clubs in Minsk. The majority (80%) are clubs for a poorer and undemanding audience (for poor students, hard workers, schoolchildren and other wickedness).

I almost never went to such clubs. And if he looked in, he immediately left or was stupidly embarrassed on the sidelines, because he felt uncomfortable in such establishments. The audience is drunk, ugly and violent.

20% of Minsk clubs are quite normal and pleasant establishments. Some even call themselves fashionable. More or less intelligent, wealthy people and beautiful girls rest in such establishments.

As time shows, either trash clubs or high-class clubs survive. In such clubs there is always a party, because. establishments position themselves very clearly. Institutions "for all" do not exist for a long time.

Entrance to most clubs is paid. This approach has always amazed me. For there are clubs in Minsk where there is practically no attendance (10-15 people out of 500 possible), but the entrance there is still paid.

parties
Not many interesting parties take place every week. Most of them are the same. Foreign artists come on average 1-5 times a month.

An example of a poster for a typical Minsk party: the theme is such and such, dj such and such, go-go and striptease (if you're lucky).

Planning the perfect party
On reflection, I figured out how you can make good money. I warn you, these are my personal thoughts and financial assumptions.
First of all, you need to plan a whole series of parties. Those. agree with the club on the lease of Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday for a whole month or two.

The ideal option is to capture a day off (Friday or Saturday). It is difficult to agree on days off, because it will be expensive + the owners of many establishments will not agree to this. Because good clubs are already packed with visitors on weekends (without any special parties).

Benefits of the party series:

1. It is easier to attract sponsors. Invite all potential sponsors to the first party, if they like everything - the money is in your pocket. When I organized my first party, I found a good sponsor (mobile operator). He was ready to allocate $1000-1500 for all subsequent parties for the right to be the general sponsor.
2. There is an opportunity to form your own party (regular visitors). With a party, life is much easier. Our parties turn into a brand and they can be held in any institutions of the city. The party will follow us. + New establishments will cooperate on more favorable terms for us.

We figured out the series, now I propose to think about the target audience. For example, I like: wealthy idlers, office plankton, intellectuals and beautiful girls.

If you don’t know how to put together such a party, I recommend starting with attracting beautiful girls. They are the easiest to attract. It is enough to lure with favorable conditions for recreation (free drinks, invitations for girlfriends, stupid money or something else).

After the party there will be colorful pictures with crazy girls. These pictures need to be shown to wealthy guys and they will pull up for our next event.

I recommend inviting interesting guests to parties, who can be indicated in the poster and who can interest potential visitors. As options: a foreign or respectable local artist, designer, outrageous personality or someone else.

Also, do not forget about the performance. For example, boob shows, freak shows, etc.
It is advisable to create a pleasant scandal at the first party. For example: girls fighting, kissing guards or something else of your choice.

Don't forget the free drink. The more drunk girls at the party, the better. This creates the holiday atmosphere we need.

After the party, we get the respect of satisfied party-goers, positive feedback + beautiful photos. All this combined will bring us a large audience with each subsequent party.

Parties for the poor
Poor people also want to rest from something and you can earn money on this desire. For such people, I suggest using the same party series model. You can try to do everything the same as I wrote above. The only significant difference is the party budget. A series of parties for the poor will cost you many times less. And the profit, in theory, will be lower.

Money
Let's assume that the capacity of an average Minsk club is 300 people.

It will take $3000 (+- $500) to organize a normal party. If the average cost of tickets is $15, then the potential revenue of 1 event will be $4500 (assuming 300 entrance tickets are sold). In fact, you can earn $1,500 from each party. Also, do not forget that for a good event you can receive money from sponsors (approximately $ 500-1000).

Now let's figure out how much you can earn at parties for the poor. It will take $1500 (+-$300) to organize a party. The cost of the entrance ticket is $7. Projected revenue - $2100. Net profit - $600.

As a rule, poor people are more “gregarious” (they tend to hang out with a big company). Therefore, the party attendance rate for the poor, according to my forecasts, will always be slightly higher.

A couple of tips for future organizers
1. Give invitations to respectable people and beautiful girls.
2. Don't skimp on promoters. Hire proven people and pay decent money for their work.
3. At parties for the poor - do not give away free drinks in large quantities. Drunk and poor quickly turns into a potentially dangerous and violent visitor.
4. Run auctions at parties. Sell anything (within reason). Drunk and merry always pay exorbitant prices.
