Create slides from photos. How to create a photo slideshow on a computer. "DVD slideshow GUI" - free software for editing slideshows

The most popular software for creating slideshows is deservedly considered ProShowProducer. The huge capabilities of the program and the intuitive interface allow you to create musical slideshows as quickly, simply and efficiently as possible. And we will give an answer step by step to the question of how to make a slideshow from photos.

Step 1. Install the program

Before you can make a slideshow with music, you need to go to the official website of the developer.

  1. 1. Launch the installation wizard for the downloaded program.

  2. 2. We confirm our agreement with the terms of use, and also indicate the destination folder for the installation (by default C: \ Program files).

  3. The installation process itself lasts no more than a minute, after which a confirmation window will appear prompting you to run the program.

  4. 3. Then you can start creating a video slideshow from photos by clicking on the "New project" item in the start window of the program.

Step 2. create slides

Before making a photo slideshow with music, decide on its theme and content. To avoid typical mistakes in registration, we recommend following with simple do-it-yourselfers.

Pre-select images and music, and for convenience save them in a separate folder. From the navigation menu located on the right side of the interface, select this destination folder to import files into the program.

To add the first image to your slide, drag it to the work ribbon. In the same way, you should add the rest of the images, placing them in the desired order. Alternative methods are also provided for laptop users who will not be comfortable with such actions via the touchpad (marked in red in the screenshot).

Step 3. Add signatures

To add a caption, click "Edit Slide"

In the slide editor window, select the menu items "Add Layer"> "Text".

You will see a submenu for selecting the format of the inscription.

In the program you will find 3 variants of the text: "Inscription", "3D text" and "Glowing text". Each of them can be animated by creating keyframes.

Having selected the desired label style, you can proceed to its detailed customization. The Layer tab provides settings for font, color, gradient, and more.

Let's take a step-by-step process of animating a glowing text:

In order for the text to be readable:

  • It shouldn't take more than 30% of the slide.
  • Should be contrasting
  • Better to place it on the empty area of the photo.

Step 4. Add effects

In the slide editing window, you can also add various effects.

Besides snow, there are other categories of effects available, such as bubbles, leaves, themed shapes, and animated glows.

When the effect is selected, the program will offer to adjust it. For example, if you choose the "snow" effect, you can adjust the speed of the snowflakes, and their size, quantity, and much more. The effect settings are located to the right of the work area.

When choosing an effect, it is better to be guided by the theme of the slide show, otherwise the effect will only overload the slide. For more information on the rules for applying effects to a slideshow, see the guide on adding animation to a slideshow.

Step 5. Add animation to slides

To add animation, let's return to the main screen of the program and go to the "Effects" tab. There are dozens of different slide animation options, divided into 4 categories: Motion, 3D Effects, Natural and Complex.

A preview is available for each animation option. To overlay the animation model you like, click the Apply to Slide button. By default, the animation is superimposed on the active slide. You can apply an effect to a specific slide by dragging the animation template to the desired cell on the timeline.

Step 6. Selecting transitions

When creating two or more slides, the program will automatically add a random transition between them. If the auto-matched transition does not suit you, replace it in the Transitions tab. There are a lot of options for transitions between slides, they are divided into 5 categories: Standard, 3D transitions, Gradients, Modern and Double.

There are three options for adding the selected transition to the timeline:

  • Apply to all. By clicking the corresponding button at the bottom of the catalog.
  • Random transitions. The function applies random transitions between all slides.
  • Move the template to the appropriate cell. The longest, indispensable method for a professional slideshow creation.

Overly complex and large-scale animations distract the viewer's attention, and gradient ones disrupt the color perception of images.

Step 7. We select the musical accompaniment

Go to the "Music" tab in the main program window.

The program provides two options for adding sound:

If you want to adjust the volume of your music and voice annotations, click Effect Volume below the track list. And to automatically adjust the correspondence between sound and image, you must press the "Synchronization" button.

You can overlay voice recording and music at the same time, then the volume needs to be adjusted in such a way that the music does not drown out the voice. Don't forget that music sets the overall atmosphere of the slideshow, so before creating your slideshow, do not forget to read the guidelines for selection.

Step 8. Final touches

Before converting, you need to check the video for errors, discrepancies and desynchronization of graphic and audio tracks. To do this, use the preview mode, which is launched by clicking on the "Play" button. The full-screen viewing mode is also available. Don't forget to use it.

After creating multiple slides, customize the duration of their show. To do this, you need to switch to the time scale display mode. To change the time of the slide show, move its borders with the mouse on the timeline. Here you can manually adjust the duration of audio tracks and transitions.

Step 9. Save and export

The program can save a project as a template for subsequent presentations and even create a full-fledged archive with used graphic and sound materials to continue working on another device.

Export of the finished video is available on the "Create" tab and implies 3 options:

I am glad to welcome you, dear readers, on the pages of the blog!

Today I will briefly tell you how to make a slideshow from photos and which program is better to use. I have already told you how you can process images, make an interesting collage.

But you must admit that it is more pleasant to watch a high-quality slideshow, in which photographs replace each other with original design and musical accompaniment.

By the way, this is the name of the usual change of images without any effects and music. But, of course, the viewing experience will be completely different.

It is not enough to pick up photographs and arrange them in some semblance of order. You need to follow a couple of principles to get a high-quality and interesting slideshow.

  • Use only high quality photographs.

It is better not to use pictures taken with a mobile phone. They are of low quality and small in size. The best option is a digital camera.

  • All photos must be the same size, resolution and orientation.

Since the images are automatically adjusted in height and width, you will not have black bars in the slideshow frame.

  • Match images with a resolution of more than 600 pixels in width.

This will allow you not only to create an excellent video series, but also to burn the resulting video to a DVD disc.

  • For work, choose a convenient program that is easy to work with.

In addition, it should have various functions for working with photos, music, texts. A great addition is a nice library of transitions and other effects.

Which program to choose

Personally, I have tried several programs. I paid attention to Russification, quick learning and the number of functions for creating a slideshow. I recommend the excellent PhotoShow editor from AMS Software.

If you think that a slideshow is just a demonstration of various pictures with musical accompaniment, then you are greatly mistaken. The program allows you to make presentations, a short film from your photos, original greetings for an anniversary, wedding and other celebration.

In addition, the program is equipped with:

PhotoShow is an easy and intuitive program for creating slideshows even for a beginner who is just starting to understand all the intricacies of working with photos.

Editing types for high-quality slideshows

Agree, a lot, if not all, depends on the quality of installation. This is the correct placement of photos, determination of the duration of each slide show, selection of transitions and additional effects.

I want to warn you right away: arrange the pictures in such a way that you get a little story. You will think over the whole scenario in advance, enhance the viewing effect with interesting transitions and musical accompaniment.

To get a high-quality slideshow, you need to follow a certain order of photos. Always use general, medium and close-up photos.

Spectacular footage types

  • Consistent.

This type of editing is used when compiling a video with a specific plot. For example, wedding photos, biographies for the anniversary, for graduates of schools, universities, and so on.

  • Comparative.

This is the use of photographs that are opposite in meaning and plot. This makes the video more expressive and dynamic. Most often, this type of editing is used when creating a slideshow from shots of various landscapes.

Of course, I can continue to list all the advantages of the program. But I recommend starting to use it yourself. Moreover, there are no difficulties in this. Enough activate the program and make your first slideshow.

To do this, you need to collect all the photos in one folder, and in the PowerPoint program, select in the tab Insert command Photo album .

After that, in a new window, click the button File or disk , find your pictures on the computer, and select them using the keys Shift or Ctrl... Then press the button Insert .

The list of pictures appears in the field Drawings in the album ... Having selected one of the names of the pictures, you can move it down, up or delete. On the right, in the window View, You will be able to observe how it all will look.

Below is a dropdown list Drawing markup ... In this list, you can choose different options for placing pictures on slides. The default option is Fit to slide , but there are other possibilities. If you choose other options, on the left, under the button Create an inscription , the drawing parameters become active:

  • Captions under all drawings .
  • All drawings are black and white .

We are more interested in the first parameter. If we check the box in front of it, then captions will appear under all pictures in the slide show. By default, these will be the names of picture files without extensions. They can be renamed already in the presentation itself, or you can initially name the files that we want to see signatures. Then you won't need to rename anything. After selecting all the parameters, press the button Create and the slide show will be created.

In the future, you can edit it as you need, add, customize the background.

Now let's deal with one more possibility. You know that in PowerPoint 2007 you use the command Create you can create not only an empty presentation, but also choose a ready-made template if you go to the item Slides with background decoration .

For example, you choose some space design, and now you want to apply the command to the presentation Insert - Photo Album ... Unfortunately, in this case, the selected design disappears.

What to do? There is an opportunity to get around this injustice. First, create two presentations: one blank, but with a design, and one with a photo album, but no design. Select all slides in the left column of the second presentation, and copy with the right mouse button. Then place the cursor in the left column of the first presentation, right-click, and select the command Insert... Photo album slides will now take over the design of the first presentation. The second presentation can now be deleted and the first one can be saved.

Now let's figure out how to insert sound into our slide show. So that while watching a slide show we have pleasant music played, select the first slide, select in the tab Insert command Sound, then find your sound file on the computer, and click the button in the window that appears Automatically .

A speaker icon appears on the slide.

Select this icon and go to the tab Parameters that appears when selected. In this tab, check the box next to the command Hide on display to hide the icon when viewed.

In the dropdown list Play sound select an option For all slides ... Also check the box next to Continuously to keep the music playing without interruption. If this checkbox is not present, the music will start over from the beginning every time you change the slide.

That's all, the sound design for the slideshow has been created. So that the slides change not by clicking, but at regular intervals, go to the tab Animation, and put a tick in front of the command Automatically after ... After that, select the time during which each slide will be shown, and press the button Apply to all .

In the tab Animation there is also the possibility of inserting sound: you can insert pre-prepared sound templates that will be issued when changing slides, for example, a click or a drum roll. You can choose an option Another sound, and find the sound on the computer, but here you can insert sound only in the format wav .

One more point - the display time of each slide can be different, and you yourself can adjust it, depending on what you will be speaking. To set the time, go to the tab Screen display and press the button Demonstration setup ... Then press OK and while speaking the presentation, manually change the slides. At the same time, the delay time of each slide will be saved, and then, even with automatic replacement, the slides will change in accordance with the time that you specified.

Now all that remains is to save the presentation. You can save it as a regular PowerPoint 2007 file in the format .pptx, or you can choose by clicking on the button Office - Save As - PowerPoint Demo ... In this case, the file will be saved in. ppsx, and will be intended solely for display purposes. You cannot edit such files.

What are ready-made projects and templates for creating a slideshow?

In each- already has its own style and plot. The musical accompaniment is done professionally. But if you wish, you can very easily replace the melody with any other. A style pack is a style created and collected according to one theme and style of design in one set. All you need is to set the styles in the program and apply each of them to the slide, then put your photos in the places for the photos, add any music, display the video and your professional slideshow is ready! Hello dear friends! As I promised earlier, today I have prepared a simple SUPER NEW YEAR LESSON, having studied which you will learn how to make beautiful photo slideshow.

Do you like taking pictures? Then most likely you have a large electronic archive of photos. Right?

The time when every photo was printed is gone. Nowadays, it rarely comes to print and all photos are left to waste on the hard drive. We looked once and forgot.

Here's my little advice, be sure to print your best photos... When you hold a printed photograph in your hands, you get the impression - I photographed this, that's what a cool photographer I am)... It turns out a kind of motivation, you strive to photograph better and better. You will not print any nonsense(replace this word with your own, as you are educated and depraved).

We will talk in more detail about motivation in photography another time. Just about this, I asked a few interesting questions to a photographer I know. So, I recommend or visit the blog more often so as not to miss new interview 🙂

Well, today the conversation will be a little about something else. Do you know that you can breathe a piece of life into old photos and make them appear in a new way?

How do you ask? It's simple, make a video presentation of your photos to music. Don't you know how yet? Then today's lesson is especially for you. Today, after studying the lesson, you will be able to make a beautiful slide show from photos.

So, are you ready to receive a baggage of new knowledge? Then we start.

The first thing to do is download the program. To do this, go to the official website and click on the red button.

Then we need to install it. We double-click on the installation distribution and install program for slideshow to your computer.

After a simple installation, go to the desktop and double-click on the shortcut to launch PhotoStage Slideshow Producer... And now, in all its glory, the main window of the program will open in front of us.

You've probably already noticed that slideshow maker English-speaking, but I think it shouldn't scare you. Simple interface and convenient arrangement of working tools will help you quickly get used to it. Take my word for it.

For my part, I will try to explain the principle of creating a slide show in simple steps so that any beginner could figure it out, even without knowing English. Well, if you still have questions, then do not hesitate to ask them in the comments or via. Deal?

How to make a slideshow from photos?

Let's start our acquaintance with the program closer.

The main menu of the program is located in the upper left corner.

In addition to the standard inscriptions, and there are only three of them File-Edit-Help, a little higher are located in a line of small pictograms. Using them, you can create a new project, open an existing one, or save the current project to a file.

In addition to these important icons, at the top you will also find beautiful arrows - these are buttons for canceling an action and returning. But I usually use hotkeys for these purposes Ctrl + Z and Ctrl + Y accordingly, I recommend you to use the hotkeys, as this greatly speeds up the editing process and creating a slide show.

Let's not wander through the program anymore, but immediately start making our first slide show. And already during the process, I will explain certain functions of buttons and labels. Deal?

It may sound trite, but first we will need to upload a lot of photos to the project. I hope you have a couple hundred thousand). I'm kidding, of course!

The number of photos for a slideshow mainly depends on the length of the music file that will accompany our slides.

Therefore, at the initial stage, you must find music according to your taste preferences, and only then add photos.

Let me show you with a small example how many photos you need for a three minute slideshow. With the standard settings of the program for creating a slide show, the display time for one slide is 3 seconds, and the transition time is 0.5 seconds. So 3 minutes is 180 seconds. Next, divide 180 seconds by 3.5 seconds (the duration of one slide show + the duration of the transition to the next slide) and we get about 50 photos.

As you can see, there are not so many photos. I think you have so many photos that you want to show the world (relatives, friends, acquaintances) in a new guise - as a slide show.

In order not to overload you with information and clutter up the article with unnecessary text and screenshots, for this lesson I will use only three slides and a short sound file.

Now the most important thing is for you to understand the general principle of creating a slideshow and learn how to navigate the program interface, and we will do it for 3 or 100 slides, it is not so important.

And so, in order to add a music or graphic file to a project, there are several possible ways.

  • Go to the menu "File - Add Media"

  • Press the button "Add Photo and Media Files"

  • Click this button

  • Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + M

After the files are loaded into the project, they will be displayed in this area

In order to add all files to a track, you need to select all of them. To do this, press the combination of buttons Ctrl + A, and then just drag it down onto the track with the mouse, or press the button "Add to Show".

After that, in the lower area you will see that all the photos will be lined up in a sequence of slides with a default display time and transition time. In addition, the audio track of your music file will be just below.

If you want to change the default time settings, then go to the menu "File-Options" and in the dialog that opens, change the existing values to yours that you want to use.

I told you about the setting, let's move on. In the right area of the program there is a small preview window with functional buttons (Start-Pause, go to the beginning, go to the end). At the moment, if you haven't touched anything, the first slide of the presentation video will be displayed here.

That's basically all, you can already start your slideshow in the preview window by clicking on Play button.

Alternatively, you can preview the created creation in full screen mode. To do this, click the next icon.

To exit their full screen mode, use the Esc key.

If everything suits you, then the last step remains in creating a slide show is an export into a finished multimedia file that you can view on any device. Whether it's a computer, laptop, tablet, or the like.

To save the finished slideshow, click on the icon

The following dialog box will open,

Here you will need to select the format of the final product. For most users, I recommend saving your slideshow to avi or mp4 formats, since these are the formats that most digital devices and gadgets support.

How do I save a slideshow?

After that, you can choose a ready-made parameter setting from the item Preset(I usually choose HD 720)

or set your own parameters of the final file - extension, resolution and number of frames per second. Having done this, boldly click on the OK button.

And here, depending on the power of your computer, you will have to wait some time to export (save) the slideshow in the format of your choice.

That's all, congratulations! You just made your first photo slideshow... Wasn't it difficult?

Slide and transition effects

What else did I forget to tell you? Yes, in principle, it remains only about the effects of the slide itself and about the transition effects. Perhaps I will say a little.

By default, when showing a slideshow, all photos are static, there is only a smooth transition from one slide to another. And in order to somehow liven up the slide show, to make it more "lively" and dynamic, I recommend adding small movements to the slides. And I will talk about this below.

In order to add a specific effect to a slide, you must first select it and then click on the tab Effects... As a result, you will see the next drop-down panel.

In the right area of which there are the effects themselves (in the form of small rectangles), and in the left area there will be a list of all as they were added to the slide.

For example, in the following screenshot you can see that I added 2 effects to the slide - Sepia, and Auto Zoom.

I mainly use effects Zoom and Auto Zoom that give dynamics to the photo. If the effect Auto Zoom. You can choose from 4 slide movement settings.

  1. Left to right movement
  2. Right to left movement
  3. Increase
  4. Decrease

Then, in the effect settings Zoom you have more space for creativity. Since you yourself can choose the starting area of the camera position and the ending one.

Thus, the viewer will see the smooth movement of the camera along your slide, along your predetermined trajectory.

In addition to the two described, I recommend taking a closer look at the effect Image Overlay... The meaning of the effect is that the existing slide will act as a BACKGROUND, and in the settings you will load a new photo that will smoothly move during the slide show. The direction of movement is set using the arrow icons in the effect parameters.

When applying this effect, I usually use a black and white photo as a background slide, and a color version of the photo acts as a moving slide. It looks just awesome.

I use other effects not so often and I will leave their study as a little homework... Take a look, try it, maybe you will like something.

I told you about slide effects and it remains to tell you about transition effects... In order to change or add one or another transition effect, select the desired slide on the slide track and go to the tab "Transitions".

In the tab that opens, you will see small rectangular icons and signatures in English. A total of 36 effects are presented in the program.

To apply a transition effect, select the desired icon in the list, set the transition time and click the button "Apply"... After that, turn on the slide show preview and see the final transition effect.

To explore all the effects, I recommend experimenting and looking at all the transition effects one at a time. And so, as the main one (it is already on by default) when changing the slide, I use - Cross fade, this is when a slide fade out and the next fade in. I personally like it the most.

After you add the effects you like to the slides and transitions, you can safely save the finished slideshow, as I described above.

On that note, let me conclude today's lesson and once again wish you a Happy New Year 2014! I really hope that now you can please not only yourself, but also all your family and friends with beautiful photo slideshow.
