Can a coach be a public figure? Public figure. Leonardo da Vinci

20.03.2017 14:30

Where do public figures come from? How to become a person capable of changing the fate of an entire country?

Distinctive features and goals

A public figure is a person who voluntarily devoted his life to serving the state. It has a significant impact on the course of historical events, forms public opinion and influences the minds of his contemporaries. All his activities are aimed at the implementation of his own ideas related to development modern society... Vyacheslav Kantor is a shining example of a modern public figure.

Every public figure is a multifaceted, extraordinary personality, capable of leading the people. He is in constant search of the right decisions that have a beneficial effect on the fate of all mankind.

Recently, for some reason, it is customary to consider only politicians as public figures. However, one should not underestimate the significant contribution to the development of the state of well-known scientists, lawyers, journalists, cultural figures and businessmen. For example, the famous film director Nikita Mikhalkov or the economist Sergei Glazyev are not at the helm of political power, but they also have a serious impact on public opinion.

Inseparable connection with the people

A public figure and his audience is a single living organism that is in constant interaction. Impossible to influence life ordinary people regardless of their reaction. A society that has entrusted its fate in reliable hands always reserves the right to evaluate the reforms proposed by a public figure and observe how he implements his ideas.

How to become a public figure?

There is a large selection of popular literature devoted to a detailed analysis of the phenomenon of a public figure. Sometimes these books form an erroneous opinion, which makes it possible to think that it is enough to develop certain qualities in oneself (eloquence, good memory, discipline, inner composure, a responsible attitude to work) in order to become a famous public figure. But this is not the case.

Today, a large number of public figures are artificial figures created as a result of a high-profile PR campaign. For such people, the words “well-being and prosperity of the native country” are an empty phrase. Real public figures always put state interests above their own and put their whole soul into their work.

Have you thought about who, how and for what reasons influences the fate of mankind, and consequently, your personal one? If not in principle, abstractly, but on modern examples? After all, you are faced with certain events happening around. Who decides that this or that process should begin today? Yes, we will try to find out who a public figure is. How is he born, what gives him strength? Let's figure it out.

How do you get to understanding?

In fact, it is not so easy to approach the question "Who is a public figure?" The difficulty is connected with the fact that the influence of the personality itself is very multifaceted. On the one hand, it has an impact on society, on the other, it absorbs its reaction. You see, this is a non-stop process. A public figure is inextricably linked with his audience. He and the people are such a complete symbiosis that it can be called a single organism. A public figure is a creator and a creation at the same time. He gives birth to an idea and realizes it. For affects society. But the latter, for its part, also reacts to "outside pressure". It gives out its assessment, directs the very process of implementing the idea, thereby influencing its "creator". The public figure is in constant change and search. He is unable to stop. Such work is not just the goal of life, but the very existence of the individual. Naturally, if he is a public figure, and not the result of a low-standard PR campaign.

The purpose of the work, or Why do they create?

It is impossible to understand who is actually considered a public figure, if you do not grasp the essence of his creation. The fact is that any person comes into the world to create. True, not everyone thinks so. However, anyone within the allotted time (if it does not end in infancy) creates something that is capable of. But we do not consider every creation to be public. To fit our definition, work must meet certain conditions, so to speak. The activity taking place in society, aimed at its development, influencing it, can be considered the one we are talking about. The point here is that personality influences the course of history.

His ideas, the results of his labors, in one way or another, have an impact on the lives of ordinary people. Well-known public figures were rooting for their work, they empathized and got angry, argued and fought. They put, as they say, their whole souls into the process. Take any example. The older generation remembers Lenin or Stalin. They are widely known. Their lives were inextricably linked with the fate of the country and the people. Nobody denies the scale of influence on the development of processes.

A little about real PR

In our information age, it is customary to “digitize” everything. Great public figures did not remain aloof from the process. They were examined from various angles, put on shelves, analyzed and created a kind of "scheme". What for? This is a different question. However, now we can open a book and read what characterizes a public figure. No mystery or supreme inspiration remains. So, we read. TO personal qualities public figures include: well-delivered speech, excellent memory, responsibility and neatness. Regarding the latter, I would like to cite Einstein as an example. Have you seen his photo? He does not really fit the description of a "polished" politician. However, its influence is undeniable. And not only discoveries in the field made his name the property of mankind. At one time, he was active, communicated with many famous people, influenced their views.

Why study public figures?

Let us now return to the question of the purpose of these studies. Everything is utterly simple and cynical. They began to study great personalities in order to learn how to create them. You will say that such is impossible? However, technology has advanced far ahead. If you know how to influence society, anticipate its reaction, then you can create another “Fuhrer” out of any philistine. But there is another side of the issue, not so tough. The point is that society is growing. In order to prevent chaos, it is necessary that individuals appear in the mass of people who are able not only to direct its development, but also to take responsibility. And oh, how great she is. There are so many weapons and other means of universal destruction on the planet that any wrong step can lead to disaster. How else to control huge crowds, if not through a respected leader? So you have to involuntarily study the technology of creating such.

Who are the public figures?

When you already understand the meaning of the definition, it is not difficult to find examples around you. And you don't have to look only at politicians, although you shouldn't underestimate their influence. Public figures can create in the field of lawmaking or information, science or production. These are people who think about the future of the people, take responsibility for their destinies on their shoulders. Public figures in Russia, for example, are not only engaged in state-building. There are many cultural figures, scientists and journalists among them. Nikita Mikhalkov or Sergey Glazyev are people working in different fields. However, they influence the people, have sufficient authority to be called public figures.

If you want to become a leader

Let us say very briefly about the beginning of the described creation. To become a public figure, it is not enough to learn and master the skills that are detailed in the books. Although you can't do without it. But the main thing is still in the soul. You need to feel with your heart a huge responsibility for the fate of society and be ready for hard, sometimes thankless work.

The city is its inhabitants. Vladivostok is very lucky with the residents: they are active, want to change the space around them and even look for opportunities in problems. The Village Vladivostok, together with the Strelka Consulting Bureau and the Agency for Housing Mortgage Lending, continues the theme of how to make your city better. This time, thanks to the activists of Vladivostok from different spheres, we learned how projects are born out of love and that money at the first stage is not the most important thing.

Valentin Dubinin, 27 years old

I have been doing events in Vladivostok since my student days. He worked in the youth affairs department of the Vladivostok administration, was the curator of the M Day 2014 and My Fest 2017 festivals, oversaw the Youth Initiative competition of urban youth projects, organized Mind games"Club of smart games". Now, I mainly do own business... The main thing that I managed to do was to unite activists to organize city events. These people have already done a lot on their own, but did not intersect with each other in their work. Now I see that those whom I helped (for example, by providing funding for UDM), develop their own projects, and then more and more new directions are formed around them.
The ones they inspired the people around them.

To take the first steps in a project, you need to start with yourself. If the need to change the city is not caused by one's own needs, nothing will come of it. The second point - you need to become an expert in the matter. If this is an environmental movement, then start sorting garbage at home. If cycling, then ride a bike to work. Talk less, do more. I do not consider money as a key resource. A proven team is many times more important. Each participant should be checked, like all partners and contractors. Many people think that new project- this is not serious, and you can mow. It is important to understand what kind of person is in front of you. Give a small task, and even if a person reacts to it irresponsibly, it is obvious that with a serious task
it will multiply.

The project should always have a competent manager who monitors the execution and bears full responsibility. Any good public space can be spoiled by incompetent management literally right away. Infrastructure only partially determines the success of the project. It is much more important who fills the site. If a crowd does not form in this place, it dies.

Ekaterina Belyaeva, 30 years old

I enjoy creating complex atmospheric things, working with space and transforming it together with members of diverse teams.
I try to develop culture by combining art and technology.

Event projects are not always a request from residents. More often, an event occurs first that forms a certain circle of spectators and participants,
and then it becomes part of the city. Without experience, I was not taken seriously for a long time. It was difficult to get support, so I made the first project with a very small budget out of my own pocket. If there is no money, then the curator assumes the entire burden of responsibility: he becomes a driver, a loader, a cleaner, a security guard, a manager. Taken together, this does not always work well.

It took us three years of growth to win. Before that, we tried to find money in different ways, offering business integration into the project. However, they constantly faced the conservatism of local people, or refusals federal companies... The solution was to create non-profit organization and grant support from the state. It is also important to say that significant help can always be found among other leaders of Vladivostok. We treat each other with great respect, are ready to help and give the necessary emotional charge.

In my opinion, the main problem is not the availability of a budget, but human capital. Far Easterners are very isolated and individualistic; they find it difficult to believe that a team project can be meaningful and generate income. Most are not ready to work hard, invest time and energy in the implementation of something big, despite the possibilities.

According to studies carried out by various funds and Rosstat, the outflow of young people is not at all due to low salaries, but due to the lack of good leisure and comfortable infrastructure. While someone changes the inner world of people with their projects, someone needs to take care of the physical changes in the city. Therefore, this year we will hold a workshop where we will try to create prototypes of new centers of activity in Vladivostok.

Sergey Soloviev, 42 years old

Director of the Vladivostok Centralized Library System

Vladivostok libraries are not just one project, but a whole system of 22 sites and 160 employees. Now, when talking about changes in the library system within the country, Vladivostok is remembered very often. We have completely modernized them appearance, equipped technically and worked out new job responsibilities.

The project began in 2013 with the typical story of an urban hater who walked into one of the libraries and saw a classic story: a cat, cacti, white tulle, and a paper file cabinet. My grumbling on this topic led to the fact that the head of the city Igor Pushkarev said: "If you don't like it, go do it." I assembled a team of people whom I had previously crossed over on other projects and, importantly, invited young employees with a fresh look and ideas.

Libraries of the city do not have very large areas, therefore, when developing the concept, we carefully studied the experience of the Japanese, who know how to effectively place the necessary infrastructure in a shortage of space. Many things no longer need to be invented. To get started, study all the ready-made solutions on the market.

Financing now library system several million less than in 2013, when there was still no talk of modernization. However, this does not prevent us from bringing important cultural figures to Vladivostok. We can accomplish all this by participating in grant competitions and fund programs.

Vladivostok always remembers everyone who tries to do something good.
For a radical transformation of public spaces, it is necessary for interested people to appear in power and management, ready to formulate a request and make volitional decisions.

Nikolay Selyuk, 29 years old

Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory, deals with housing and communal services issues and social activities among young people

Politics was not a life goal, but formed by itself. In 2013
with the change in the law on major repairs, I organized a meeting at home, and one grandmother appeared who said: "You want to become a deputy at our expense!" It was then that I began to wonder what politics is, how they become deputies, what levels there are. Then there was a youth government, a public council for housing and communal services. Step by step, and here I am.

I am convinced that a clean and comfortable courtyard is the beginning of the country. You can always improve the space around with your own hands. Start doing Saturday cleanups like a yard party with music and contests. The management company will give you the inventory, and all that remains is to spend money on animators (for atmosphere and mood). The main recipe for happiness is not to sit still.

Often people just come to me to complain, and that's where their actions end. It is important to understand that questions, first of all, should be directed to the provider of the service. Try to understand the targeting of the problem and start looking for solutions. Dialogue with the advice at home, create a WhatsApp group, contact management company, Come
to the deputy corps (reception of the party). If there is no answer at all, you will have to figure out the intricacies and then think about what to do.

Vladivostok is an incredibly beautiful, dynamic city. For example, now you need to develop public transport... Make it understandable, clean, convenient, and stable. As long as no one knows and does not regulate the flow of passengers, everything will go "black" and give rise to corruption. It is also important to provide residents with open data. Let everyone be able to see bills, debts, current indicators of utilities on the site. Thus, people will be involved in the process of life at home and become more active, as
v public life and in the political.

Natalia Yakunina, 27 years old

photographer, eco-activist

For the fourth year I have been working on the project “ Dream Island". We organize activities to improve the ecology of the islands, in particular on Reineck.
In August, we hold an annual environmental protection international environmental camp.

As a large team, we eliminate landfills, plant greenery in cleaned areas, create art objects with artists, demonstrating the possibilities of recycling waste. In addition to the camp, we constantly hold subbotniks: we invite volunteers, rent a barge, go to the Rikord or Pakhtusov Islands, collect garbage and take it to the city for disposal. On the Russky Island we are doing ecological quests. We are constantly engaged in eco-education and the popularization of environmentally friendly tourism.

You don't need a lot of money to improve the environment. We received support for the first action only in in kind: gave bags, gloves and covered the rental of the barge. We always work with the city administration, but gradually we began to attract various companies and individuals. Of course, it is difficult to organize such actions without money at all. The main costs are spent on transport, shipping and printing. If you do something high-quality and large-scale, then you need to attract money in different ways, but you need to start small - try yourself and understand whether it is worth continuing.

Now the task of our team is to establish a system of regular garbage collection.
from the islands, patrol new territories. Without a working system, everything comes down to nothing, and the landfills that we eliminate reappear.

Improvement can be carried out not only by the administration, but also by caring residents of the city. You can wait for years until something changes,
but you can take matters into your own hands and start acting. If someone has ideas to make an eco-project, always contact us for help and advice.

Denis Gorbunov, 32 years old

head of the Advance Team, public figure

For almost ten years my team has been developing extreme sports in the Far East. During this time, we managed to change the attitude of the townspeople to extreme sports. We were not taken seriously, there was not a single extreme park in the city. Now our disciplines are included in the Olympic sports, and the city has created an infrastructure that allows you to train all year round... We constantly hold the largest extreme festivals, send the winners to international and Russian competitions. This is great for motivating athletes and raising their level.

Having started snowboarding, I realized that there was not much in the city and I wanted to change that. In 2009, with the guys from #DVBMX, we built the first skate park "Under the Bridge". It was so inspiring that to this day I continue to create parks and organize competitions with

Guys, we put our soul into the site. Thank you for
that you discover this beauty. Thanks for the inspiration and the goosebumps.

Time is a harmful and elusive thing. It always oozes through your fingers and flows away to no one knows where. What if all my life I wanted to write symphonies better than Mozart's, and you have two children in your arms, a wife, a mother, and another, plus to everything, a burning project?

We are in site are also extremely concerned about this problem: we want to realize ourselves in life, and not choke on a bone. Examples of famous people who certainly needed 24 hours a day help us not to give up and do great things.

Leonardo da Vinci

The famous “universal man” will head our list. Recall that Leonardo is an outstanding artist of the Renaissance (does everyone remember the Gioconda?), An inventor (all his inventions formed the basis for the construction of modern submarines), a scientist, as well as a writer and musician. He was also the first to explain why the sky is blue: "The blue of the sky is due to the thickness of illuminated air particles, which is located between the Earth and the blackness above." He managed all this thanks to his own developed sleep system: he slept for a total of 2 hours (lights out for 15 minutes several times a day), and in all the rest of his free time he changed the world and himself for the better.

Anton Chekhov

© Braz I.E. Portrait of A.P. Chekhov, 1898

The genius brother of his brother (he had such a pseudonym). Famous master short story, humorist and satirist, the greatest playwright and part-time doctor. He himself admitted: “Medicine is my legal wife, and literature is my mistress. When one gets bored, I spend the night with the other. " Constantly torn apart at the crossroads of his two talents, Chekhov was engaged in medical affairs for the rest of his life. Even his dogs, he gave names by the name of drugs: Brom and Quin. But he also respected the "mistress": in his entire life Chekhov created more than 300 works, including short stories, and an impressive size of drama. And the great comedian loved collecting stamps. There was a man!

Vladimir Nabokov

© Ullstein Bild / Getty Images.com

Writer and scientist-entomologist, and a self-taught entomologist. In honor of Vladimir Vladimirovich, more than 20 genera of butterflies are named, one of which (that's cute!) Is called Nabokovia. Nabokov also played excellent chess. He compiled several difficult chess problems. His love for this intellectual sport was reflected in the novel Luzhin's Defense. Recall that Nabokov perfectly owned English language... Lolita is loved in America as well as ours.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Goethe was known not only as a great writer and poet, but also as a scientist: he made some discoveries in the field of the theory of light. In addition, he actively collected minerals - his collection numbers 18,000 items (it is clear why Faust got such a craving for alchemy). The author of the famous drama was so lucky or well done that he slept only 5 hours a day, and he had enough strength for many, many accomplishments. Perhaps this is because Goethe adhered to strict rules and was a supporter of a healthy lifestyle: he did not drink alcohol at all and did not tolerate the smell of tobacco smoke. That is why he lived for 82 years and managed to create so many things.

Hugh Jackman

Not only a famous actor, but also a Broadway artist, and what a one! Within one season, he managed to receive all the major theater awards. Everyone knows the third area of Jackman's activity, in which he achieved success - family life. Hugh and Deborra-Lee Furness have been married for 20 years and together they are raising two children. What is really there! Our Hugh, in general, can do anything: he can play the piano, guitar, violin, and also ... vibrate his pupils and even juggle. Probably, even Wolverine cannot do this.

Salvador Dali

Everyone says that he is crazy, but that he was universal, they are silent. Dali is famous not only as a painter and sculptor, but also as a director of the most terrible "Andalusian Dog". Dali also wrote several "works": "The secret life of Salvador Dali, told by himself" and "Diary of a genius." For the sake of his psychedelic masterpieces, the humble genius was often "perverted" in terms of sleep. Let us explain: Dali hired a special servant for himself, who, seeing that the owner was beginning to fall asleep in complete exhaustion, woke him up, after waiting a few seconds. The disheveled Dali immediately grabbed the paper and tried to sketch what he saw in the first seconds of the superficial phase of sleep.

Mikhail Lomonosov

© Miropolskiy L.S. Portrait of M.V. Lomonosov, 1787

Russian natural scientist, chemist and physicist, poet, artist ... you can hardly list everything here. Lomonosov is not just an active figure - he is revered as a reformer. It was he who carried out the reform of versification. Therefore, oddly enough, we owe the memorization of iambs and chorea to an outstanding chemist. By the way, being smart doesn't mean being bullied. During his studies in Marburg, for example, Lomonosov perfectly mastered the ability to handle the sword. Local bullies bypassed this overly capable and skillful Muscovite. That's for sure a talented person is talented in everything!

Isaac Newton

Everyone should know that he is famous not only for the apple that fell on his head. Newton wrote books on theology, where he spoke about the denial of the Holy Trinity, and was also the chairman of the Royal Society of Arts. Not many people know that Newton also invented two stunningly ingenious things: a means for carrying cats and a door for them (where are we now without them?). This is to blame for his love for hairy and mustachioed friends. Newton preferred vigorous activity to sleep - he devoted only 4 hours a day to rest at night.

Benjamin Franklin

We all know him as an uncle with a dollar and a politician, but Franklin is all the same as our Lomonosov. He was a journalist and inventor. He invented, for example, the stove ("Pennsylvania fireplace"), and also predicted the weather. The first developed a detailed map of the Gulf Stream. Founded the Philadelphia Academy and the first public library in the States. Franklin also had a musical talent. Uncle Ben was helped by his strict adherence to the daily routine, in which he had only 4 hours of sleep a day.

Alexander Borodin

© I. E. Repin. Portrait of A.P. Borodin, 1888

A man whose portrait hangs in both the music class and the chemistry class. Did you know that the author of the famous opera "Prince Igor" was also a chemist and a physician? He jokingly called himself a "Sunday musician": he had to sacrifice weekends in order to create something like that for the world of music. The memory of Borodin's working days was left by his wife: "I could sit for ten hours in a row, I could not sleep at all, not have dinner." Still would! After all, as you know, one of Borodin's mottos was this super-motivating phrase: "All that we do not have, we owe only ourselves." Also, Alexander Porfirievich was an active public figure - he was one of the initiators of the opening of the Women's Medical Courses.

Flea (Michael Peter Balzari)

In his youth, Bulgakov worked as a zemstvo doctor, and he had to be a generalist: a therapist, a gynecologist, a surgeon, and a dentist. The "Notes of a Young Doctor" owe their birth to precisely that period in the life of the young Bulgakov. It was difficult to combine healing and creativity, that is why I had to “plow” the shift, treat the unassuming village people all day, and then also find time for writing ... What can you not sacrifice for the sake of art. Once, in a letter to his mother, he wrote: “At night I am writing 'Notes of a Zemstvo Doctor'. A solid thing can come out. " Bulgakov is also an example of the correct attitude to criticism. He collected critical articles about his work, including 298 negative and 3 positive reviews from critics.

Do you still think you are running out of time?

In our country, there are more than 50 million athletes, and there are about 300 thousand full-time sports workers. For each specialist, there are up to 170 athletes. To sports work really was massive, community coaches, organizers, judges come to the aid of specialists. They are volunteers.

In Soviet sports, there are hundreds of thousands of social activists: coaches, team captains, physical education workers, members of councils of physical education collectives, bureaus of sports sections, referees' boards, public commissions, federations, etc.

At school, vocational school, secondary specialized educational institution they elect a class physicist, a group - the most active athlete, an authoritative, sociable comrade who knows how to lead a team. When fizorg is energetic, then the class is athletic, actively participating in competitions. The role of the physical education teacher became especially noticeable when the "Starts of Hopes" began to be held, in which each team represents one class.

Public organizers in sports are instructors in the TRP complex and industrial gymnastics, members of the councils of physical education groups. They involve students, workers and employees in sports sections, recruit teams, prepare competitions, keep records of all sports work.

Social activists improve their skills and organizational skills at special seminars and courses.

The public trainer conducts classes in a group, section, team. This title is awarded to someone who graduated from a seminar, courses, special school.
